Season start
We are all ready for the first Sunday, January 3th at 9:15 pmPick up/drop off
The groups are meeting at the middle day lodge at 9:15 am. The sign posts will be across from the day lodge. This is the drop off and pick up point for your skier. This year RMR has closed the road to the middle day lodge. I would suggest arriving and riding the gondola about 9am (children cannot ride the gondola without an adult). If you need assistance please contact Karyn Molder. Please have your children dressed and equipment ready to meet their coach by 9:15 am sharp. Your coach will meet you at the sign with bibs. All groups will be able to begin warm up at 9:30 am. Your children will require a season pass or a day lift ticket by 9:15 am.
Half day pick up/drop off
With the variety of ages we may have to move some of skiers to an earlier time or later time.AM group (9:30 - 11:30)
Please meet your coach at sign #1 at 9:15 sharp with all your equipment and season pass or lift ticket ready to go. You will return to this sign about 11:30-11:45
PM group (12:30 - 2:30)
Please meet your coach at sign #1 at 12:20 sharp with all your equipment and season pass or lift ticket ready to go. You will return to this sign about 2:30-2:45
If you are late on Sunday:
Please speak to your child's coach this Sunday about what to do if you are late. Your coach may want you to wait at the gondola or ask another coach or Karyn Molder to contact them by cell so that a meeting place can be arranged.
Instruction will be finished and skiers will be ready for pick up between 2:15-2:45 pm for the regular program. Please meet your kids at their groups sign. If you would like to shadow your child's group on the hill you are more than welcome. Please speak to you child's coach.
When the coach drops the kids off at their sign at the end of the day, we expect the children to make contact with a parent or assigned adult guardian. We will need written permission if you are giving permission for your child to go back up the gondola without a parent contact/supervision.
Groups
The children are divided up into groups for their coaching. We have done our best to match skiers up in groups of similar age and skiing abilities. Although we have some tentative groups for the first day, some adjustments may need to be made once the coaches get a sense of the abilities within their groups. Please explain this to your child/children to minimize disappointment if changes need to be made. Please approach me if you have any questions about the group your skier is in.Attire
For the skiers' safety, helmets are mandatory. Please make sure that your child/children have bindings that are in good working order and of course they will need skis, poles, goggles and a whistle. An extra pair of gloves and a face tube is also a very good idea.Lunchtime
It is not possible for all of the children and the public to take lunch at the same time, so lunch can be anywhere from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Our volunteer coaches receive a well-deserved break at lunch and are not responsible for your children during this time. Please ensure for younger children there is an adult responsible who will assist your child to use the washroom, warm up their hands and feet and eat something during their lunch break. This will help in making the afternoon a positive experience for everyone! The old rental shop area has lots of tables.
Please check out our calendar of events, information and photos.
